If you feel like having a sandwich during your tea break or lunch but dread the time it takes you to make one then this sandwich is for you. You can personalize your sandwich the way you want ; crunchy peanut butter ,butter ,jam (strawberry ,cherry ,mixed fruit, you name it ! ) But there is one peanut butter sandwich that really makes my lunch worth looking forward to .
Sometimes I’ll have a craving for a sandwich and then i would forget about it when i go the canteen because there is no sandwich nearby so i decided to experiment with sandwiches .I decided to ‘grill ‘ my bread.Think grilled meat ,only yummier and healthy .Without the fat (lol) I loved the results of my experimentation of using honey instead of jam and so I decided to share it with you.
If you not a fan of honey then you can just use jam and simply follow the process here and substitute what I put for good old jam. It’s ideal because it is cheaper and you can have it with either milk, juice or just like that .
2 slices wholewheat or wholegrain bread
2 Tablespoons creamy peanut butter or chunky peanut butter
2 teaspoon pure honey
1 teaspoon butter
a) Spread peanut butter on one side of the first bread and spread honey on one side of the other piece of bread
b) Fold together and butter both sides ( This is an optional step)
c) On medium heat ,cook sandwich in skillet for a few minutes on each side until golden brown
d) Cut in half diagonally when done
e) Then Eat
I hope you will be saying “Mmmmm” with every bite .Tell me how it goes below
