Winter Hack For Great Skin

Winter Hack For Great Skin

This week has been sane. Usually I don’t write the post the night before, but between  3am study sessions ,prepping for work and adapting to my new internship ,I just don’t have time to proof read and all .But, I was determined to post this today .

Temperatures in Harare are shockingly hitting highs and lows depending on the day and I’m here with a suggestion on how to take care of your skin during this winter .It’s no secret that the secret to good skin, is a healthy diet, lots of water, sleep and regular exercise.  But let’s face it, as simple as they may sound, they not always easy to incorporate. I am not going to talk my ear off on the importance of drinking water but I am going to share a skin hack that I discovered recently .I couldn’t help rolling my eyes walking down the aisles of food chains at the available choices of skin lotions to stop dry skin . I eventually stopped rolling my eyes when I discovered this gem –coconut oil.

Coconut oil is rich in proteins that contribute to cellular health and tissue repair and it also contains vitamin E ;which is a nutrient for healthy skin growth ,repair and it also prevents premature aging .You can winter-proof your skin by using coconut oil in the following ways :

Skin Lotion: just simply apply a small amount of coconut oil either to your dry or cracked skin or use it every day as a moisturizer. The biggest benefit of this is that your skin will smell so amazing.

Lip Balm: apply a small amount of coconut oil to your lips to keep your amazing lips moist and protected throughout the winter.

Try it and let me know if it works.

I sure do agree with you Ancy. Coconut oil works like a charm especially as far as skin is concerned. You can also use coconut oil to oil your dry scalp. I’m telling you, those dundraff days will be the thing of the past if you apply regularly like 3 to 2 times a week. Brittle hair will become stronger and it also encourages new hair growth…
